What information does Trakdesk gather?

  • Information about you

    When registering or subscribing to our service, Trakdesk collects personal information about you including, without limitation, personally identifiable information such as: your name, address, company, phone number and e-mail address. We may also collect some financial information such as limited aspects of your credit card information for any rolling or repeating subscription services. At times, we may also ask for other information about you such as: your age (as a security measure) or other demographic information. Trakdesk may also collect your contact information and other communication correspondence.

    We do not store or retain your credit or debit card information. When payment is made, you will transact directly with your card issuer and will be subject to their own particular Ts&Cs and privacy policies. We only supply the barest details of your card to effect card processing payment to take place during temporary communication through our platform with your card processor and our payment processing provider Braintree Payments.

  • Information about your use of the Service

    Trakdesk collects information about your use of the Service including, without limitation, data about your geographical location such as: City, State, Zip Code, Country and IP address. We also collect information about your web browser such as: browser type, version and referring URL's. Trakdesk may also collect minimal device information such as the device type and its operating system version.

  • We may send you periodic emails

    The email address you provide when registering to our service will only be used to send you information and updates pertaining to your account. If you decide to opt-in to our mailing list, you will receive emails that may include company news, updates, related product or service information, etc. Please note, that if at any time you would like to unsubscribe from receiving future emails from us, we include detailed unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of each email. How does Trakdesk gather information?

Trakdesk gathers information that you submit on any Trakdesk registration forms, surveys, questionnaires or other online forms. Trakdesk also gathers information about your use of the Service during such use, and you should understand that you are not anonymous to us. Trakdesk may also gather information about you from other sources such as social media platforms and external business partners.

Trakdesk does not sell your personal information or allow access to your data to or by any third party.

How does Trakdesk use the gathered information?

Trakdesk uses your information to make your use of the Service more personalized and convenient. With whom does Trakdesk share information we gather?

  • Third Parties and Co-Branded Services

    Trakdesk may share your personally identifiable information with any third parties that provide services on behalf of Trakdesk. Such third parties do not have the right to use your information for any purpose other than to provide the applicable service.

    Trakdesk may also advertise, promote, reference, recommend or provide links to third party sites, services and products. Any third party sites we promote might have their own privacy policies, which may not comply with this Privacy Statement, even if the site, service or product is branded with Trakdesk logo or name.   • Affiliates

    Trakdesk may share your personally identifiable information with its affiliates that protect your personally identifiable information from disclosure such as our payment processing provider, any relevant government agencies and data protection agencies.

  • Merger, Acquisition or Sale

    If Trakdesk is involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, your Personal Information may be transferred as a business asset. In such cases, we will provide notice before your Personal Information is transferred and/or becomes subject to a different Privacy Policy.

How may you access or update stored Information about you?

You may review and update your information stored as a part of your account by logging into your account as an administrator and navigate to Admin -> Company. You may also update your billing credit or debit card information by navigating to Admin -> Account.

How does Trakdesk protect your personal information?

All of your account information is password protected for your security. Your billing information is transmitted and displayed using industry-standard SSL encryption. While Trakdesk believes that it has implemented reasonable security, we cannot guarantee that our security measures will prevent unauthorized third parties, such as hackers or Phishers, from obtaining or accessing your information.

Use of Cookies; E-mail Pixels.

Trakdesk uses cookies to automate certain aspects of our Web site. Cookies are very small files that are stored on your computer and that enable us to recognize your computer each time you return to our site. By using cookies, Trakdesk can keep track of your preferences, what you have already seen on our site and what you haven’t, and any personalization you’ve done, without requiring you to enter a password every time you visit our site. Trakdesk uses any information gathered using our cookies in compliance with this Privacy Statement.

Third parties, including advertisers with whom Trakdesk may have a relationship, may also set cookies. Such third parties are responsible for placing and using such cookies and may collect information about you through such cookies; Trakdesk does not have access to such cookies, control the use of such cookies nor control over the privacy policy of such parties. You can use ad blockers to your own preferences in such situations.

We may use an e-mail delivery and marketing company to send you e-mails. Pixel tags and cookies are used in those e-mail messages and at our website to help us measure the effectiveness of our advertising and how visitors use our site.

If you do not opt-out for our newsletter, which is administered by Autopilot and Sendgrid, we will store some of your information, including your email address, IP address and certain information about the links you click within the emails we send you on these services servers. Neither we nor these services will ever sell your email address or share it with any other party, unless we are legally compelled to do so by a competent court or law enforcement agency order.

UK/ EUEAA GDPR Compliance

We are committed to ensuring the security and protection of the personal information that we process, and to provide a compliant and consistent approach to data protection. We believe we have always had a robust and effective data protection program in place which complies with existing law and abides by the data protection principles. However, we recognize our obligations in updating and expanding this program to meet the demands of the GDPR and the UK/ EU’s Data Protection legislation.

Trakdesk is dedicated to safeguarding the personal information under our remit and in developing a data protection regime that is effective, fit for purpose and demonstrates an understanding of, and appreciation for the new Regulation.

Information Security & Technical and Organizational Measures

Trakdesk takes the privacy and security of individuals and their personal information very seriously and takes every reasonable measure and precaution to protect and secure the personal data that we process. We have robust information security policies and procedures in place to protect personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction and have several layers of security measures, including; SSL, access controls, password policy, encryptions, pseudonymization, practices, restriction, IT, authentication etc.

GDPR Roles and Employees

We have designated Anand Lall as our Controller of Data and have appointed a data privacy team to develop and implement our roadmap for complying with the new data protection Regulation. The team is responsible for promoting awareness of the GDPR across the organization, assessing our GDPR readiness, identifying any gap areas and implementing the new policies, procedures and measures.

Trakdesk understands that continuous employee awareness and understanding is vital to the continued compliance of the GDPR and has involved our employees in our preparation plans. We have implemented an employee awareness program specific to the above, which will be rolled out to all employees prior to May 25th, 2018. This forms an ongoing part of our induction and annual training program.

Data Retention

We generally retain personal data for so long as it may be relevant to the purposes identified herein. To dispose of personal data, we may anonymize it, delete it or take other appropriate steps. Data may persist in copies made for backup and business continuity purposes for additional time.

International Transfer

Your information, including Personal Information, may be transferred to - and maintained on - computers located outside of your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ than those from your jurisdiction.

If you are located outside United States and choose to provide information to us, please note that we transfer the information, including Personal Information, to the United States and we can process it there. Should you not consent to your data being moved for example outside of the EUAA (EU Administrative Area), then you should consider an alternative service provider. Children's Privacy

Trakdesk does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you learn that your Children have provided us with Personal Information, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Information from a children under age 13 without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.

Changes To This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy is effective as of May 28, 2018 and will remain in effect except with respect to any changes in its provisions in the future, which will be in effect immediately after being posted on this page.

We reserve the right to update or change our Privacy Policy at any time and you should check this Privacy Policy periodically.
